MTA Group Worker’s Comp Insurance Plan

MTA members should consider joining the MTA Workers Compensation Group Safety Program, in conjunction with the Montana State Fund (MSF). This program earned over $224,000 in safety returns for policyholders for the policy year ending 2021. This amounts to almost one million dollars in safety returns to policyholders since the MTA and MSF formed their safety partnership.

The MTA program is comprised of transportation companies in Montana that have committed to improving their safety programs and providing a safe working environment for their employees. A safe workplace reduces injuries and costs. And, if the overall experience of the group is favorable, the participating policyholders with low injury costs can realize a return premium.

It is a win-win proposition for members.

Safety Matters.

Montana Trucking Association advocates promoting safety in the industry through awareness and communication.  Increasing awareness of the No-Zones, danger areas, and blind spots around commercial vehicles is a primary part of their program focus.  With the establishment of the Safety Committee, they also maintain dedication to improving upon current safety regulations and expanding their program statewide to share the road safely.

Being a part of the Montana Trucking Association will help you stay informed and in touch with new regulations, news updates, and safety practices. They provide members with DOT changes and an open forum for discussion.  Remember, Safety is an attitude.

SHARE THE ROAD

The Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA) introduced the Share the Road Program in 1994.  Its goal was to educate the driving public about how to safely share the road with trucks and buses. This program has become a major priority of MTA, and our willingness to not just maintain the program, but to expand it statewide will be our legacy.
