MDT offers apology after near-24-hour shutdown of Bozeman Pass

See Link for news clip about the Bozeman Pass being shut down for nearly 24 hours last week. We are working with MDT to try and avoid future situations like this from happening.

In addition to having better steps for shutting the highway down, they are planning on installing 17 permanent VMS signs from Three Forks to Billings along with new road closure gates at additional interchanges. They also plan to install some new sensors on the Bozeman Pass that can provide a grip factor. That will help them determine when chains are required. Please let us know if you have any additional thoughts or comments that we can pass along.
