MTA SERVICES

Dedicated to serving hardworking members.

Be Heard

MTA wants to hear from you on issues, concerns, or ways we can help better and move the trucking industry forward.

Promote Safety

A priority of the MTA is to promote safety in the industry. The Safety Committee meets quarterly to help meet that goal. The committee provides members with an update on DOT changes and a forum to discuss issues of importance.  The Safety Committee hosts the Truck Driving Championship, held each year in Billings or Helena.

Industry Relations

The Annual MTA Convention is held in early autumn and brings together carrier and supplier members for education, networking, and socializing.  The trade show provides members with an opportunity to discuss new technology, products, and services with allied members and can provide many members with new ideas to add value to their business.  The seminars provide valuable knowledge about recent changes in the industry.  The Golf Scramble is an important chance to join colleagues for a day on the links, relaxing and strengthening important business ties.

Montana Trucking Jobs

Continental Owner Operators LTD. (COOL)

A Montana Association was formed in 1995 with the idea of offering a Safety Association to benefit Owner Operators. The Association evolved and reaps the benefit of the purchasing power of a group yet is tailored to each individual’s need. With COOL, Owner Operators can pick and choose the coverage they need, and the coverage is portable from one carrier to the next. COOL, in conjunction with Continental Owner Operators Insurance Services, Inc. (COOIS) provide the following coverage: Non-Trucking Use Liability, Physical Damage, Inland Marine, Deductible Reimbursement, Health Insurance, and Occupational Accident coverage.

The MTA and the Western Trucking Associations Executive Council which represents fourteen western states endorse COOL.  For further information, contact Colt Palmer at 406-327-6541 or cpalmer@paynewest.com.
