BILLINGS - Students at West High learned some important rules of the road Wednesday morning.

They learned what it's like to sit in the driver's seat of semi-trucks. The American Trucking Association and Montana Motor Carriers as part of the Share the Road campaign provided the semis.

The students learned about trucks' blind spots so they can more safely share the road. They said these lessons are important to learn as they begin driver's training.

"Definitely I will be more cautious next time when I drive, make sure I stay out of the truck's blind spot," Freshman Tanner Smith said, "Just making sure I know that they have a lot harder job to perform than I do."

Students across town participated in Share the Road as the event took place at Senior High Tuesday and Skyview on Monday.
