Safety Management, Maintenance & Technology Council
The number one priority of the MCM is to promote safety in the industry, and the Safety Management, Maintenance & Technology Council (SMMTC) was established to help meet that goal. The SMMTC provides members an update on DOT changes and a forum to discuss issues of importance.
Their big event of the year is the Professional Truck Driving Championships, which will be held, Saturday, June 16 in Helena.
SMMTC also maintains the MCM Safety Trailer. This converted van is a safety display on wheels. Emblazoned with the No-Zone, the trailer carries the message of safety to fairs and schools, business safety events and scales along the highway. It's a real life reminder that safety is an attitude.
MCM also has an extensive inventory of Safety Supplies for sale to members at a reduced rate.
Other events supported by the SMMTC are the Rocky Mountain Regional Safety Rendezvous, which will be held July 11-13 in Helena, Truck Driver Appreciation and Share the Road.
